Expect some familiar faces to return to CSI next season.
The Vegas-set series is welcoming back writer Elizabeth Devine for the upcoming twelfth season.
Devine, whose premiere episode aired during the first season, will return full-time as a series writer. Devine left the franchise back in 2008, having credits that expand beyond the original series, working both as a writer/producer for spinoff CSI: Miami and a writer for CSI: NY. She returned to the original series last season for one episode that was co-written by Corinne Marrinan and then went on to focus on pilot development.
Though an official series’ renewal has not been ordered yet, CSI remains a strong staple in CBS’ current lineup and a twelfth season is pretty much guaranteed.
Prior to working for the CSI franchise, Devine worked as a criminalist in Los Angeles county.
